Baron Samedi Soap

Soap I now have a completed soap mold which allows me to make about twelve to thirteen pounds of soap at a time. The inaugural batch was completed recently and was a success.

I have one vendor that may be interested in carrying my soap, and I am looking for more. It is not necessarily something that I am looking to do for a main source of income, my sights are set low for this venture, but I have a great deal of fun making it.

The most recent batch is sandalwood and rosemary. It has a great woody undertone to support the fragrant, piney, rosemary aroma. The batch before was sandalwood and cedar. It had a wonderful, soothing woodsey scent, and has great suds. It is what I use in my shower.

I have experimented with several types of base oils in my soap, but I have settled for the time being on pork leaf lard. There is a certain earthy scent that accompanies it, but it makes for a soap that suds nicely, and doesn't leave the skin all dry. The most recent batch also employs olive oil, which is another oil that helps leave the skin moisturized.

If you are interested in samples for resale, then let me know (Seattle area only, for now), and I can drive a few samples over to your establishment.
